In 2010, after having been a trial attorney for over two decades I decided it was time to make a career change. As a business major at the University of Arkansas, I always enjoyed studying finance, economics, and accounting. So it was with great excitement, that I returned to my educational roots and started Cambridge Wealth Management, LLC. Now as an attorney and financial advisor I focus my entire practice on helping individuals, professionals, and small businesses plan for a financially secure retirement, as well as addressing their estate planning issues. It is by far the most rewarding endeavor I have been a part of.
I am a life-long resident of Fort Smith. Not only did I grow up here, I met my wife at church when we were in junior high, and we raised our four kids in the same schools we attended growing up. I graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with a degree in business in 1985, and from there I obtained a law degree from the UALR in 1988. I served in the Arkansas Legislature from 1995 to 2003, and was appointed to a two year term as Sebastian County Prosecutor by Governor Mike Huckabee in 2007. I currently serve as a commissioner on the Sebastian County Election Commission.
Besides being licensed to practice law in Arkansas and Tennessee, I have insurance licenses and securities registrations in Arkansas and Oklahoma, and have passed the FINRA Series 6, 63, and 65, securities exams as well. These credentials allow me the opportunity to offer clients a wide variety of financial options for investment and retirement planning.
My favorite past times are hanging out with my four adult children – Taylor, Gunner Jr. and his wife Britta, Caroline, and Suzanna; playing adult team tennis; attending cross-fit classes; and teaching adult Sunday School at our church. The time we spend with family and friends and our relationship with Christ brings us our greatest joy.
